Johan Cruyff Foundation for unlimited fun and play
We believe that playing sports helps improve people’s health and self-confidence and builds friendships. That’s why we want to make sports available to all. In the Cruyff Foundation, we have found a partner that shares that same vision. Since we started working together almost twenty years ago, we have jointly installed 200 Cruyff Courts worldwide. Offering more than 1,000,000 children each year the opportunity to be active and meet one another.
PSV Academy: testing new synthetic turf systems
In 2020, we started an innovation partnership with Dutch football club PSV to jointly create the first field lab in the world. Here, we test our artificial turf surfaces in a real-life environment by measuring players and asking for their honest feedback. This enables us to develop innovative artificial grass surfaces, which positively impact the performance of players.
GBN, and ExxonMobil & Cyclyx: recycling partnerships
At TenCate, we believe that all end-of-life synthetic turf must be recycled in a safe way. That is why we have teamed up with various partners and jointly founded GBN Artificial Grass Recycling (GBN-AGR) to build a recycling facility in The Netherlands. To ultimately recycle all legacy turf into new, circular materials. The aim is to set up similar recycling facilities throughout Europe. And we have set up an initiative with ExxonMobil & Cyclyx for advanced recycling of end-of-life turf in the United States: TenCate Turf Recycling Solutions.
