Jim McFarlane’s vision on managing people

Our manufacturing facility in Dubai (Middle East), has a very diverse labour force with more than 350 employees coming from multiple countries, cultures and religions. An all-inclusive management of the  labour force helps enables this diversity to be a fundamental aspect of our success.

Managing Director of TenCate Grass Middle East, Jim McFarlane, has a clear vision on managing the People aspect of organisations. “As the director of our yarn factory in Dubai, I have a huge responsibility towards all my employees. They are not going home to their families after their shift, instead they live in the TenCate Grass accommodations for the biggest part of the year. Beside housing, meals, health care and exercise, we are also responsible for educating and developing each individual to become the best version of themselves.”
