Woven IRONTURF for Harvard University and University of San Francisco

Both top-level Universities in the USA chose to apply our woven technology to their soccer- and lacrosse facilities.

Harvard University Boston

Harvard University is one of the most prestigious institutions in the United States of America with the largest endowment of any university in the country and world class athletic facilities.

For this reason, we are tremendously proud that TenCate Grass recently completed the installation of 108,440 square feet of IRONTURF Ultra Green on their Jordan Field – home of Harvard Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse and Men’s and Women’s Soccer.

After several years of dialogue with the architectural firm working on the project, GeoSurfaces installed a 20-foot sample for their review in the autumn of 2020. After testing this sample extensively, Harvard University made the clear decision to go for the woven IRONTURF product.

 University of San Francisco

For its Negoesco Stadium, the University of San Francisco recently constructed the first Division 1 soccer field using IRONTURF Ultra, a woven-turf technology.

From their past experiences with Valley Precision Grading installing two other fields, this construction project was not even put out to tender. The demolition of the old field and installation of the new field was completed in under eighteen days. Both visiting and home teams alike love the playing characteristics of the new field.
